You’ll be responsible for defining performance metrics for measurement, comparison, or evaluation of supply chain factors. You’ll also analyze inventories so that you can optimize customer service, increase inventory turns, manage fill rates, reduce waste and determine time of arrival. In this role, you’ll be Negotiating prices and terms with suppliers and vendors, meeting with suppliers to discuss performance metrics, performance feedback, and coordinate the production forecasts and/or changes. You’ll also oversee, strategic sourcing, vendor managed inventory, receiving and warehousing. You’ll be involved in the coordination of engineering changes, product line extensions, or new product launches. Resulting in orderly and/o production flow and timely transitions in material. As a leader, may be involved in interviewing, hiring, coaching and developing employees; planning, assigning and directing work; EEO/AA; performance management. For a department budget and staff of 10.
Skills & abilities Required to be successful.
A demonstrated track record in manufacturing, distribution, inventory, and quality procedures and management programs and systems. A proficiency with Proficient enterprise resource planning and business intelligence/analytics systems, Google, and MS Office applications. (SAP experience a plus)
A strong comprehensive understanding of integrated supply chain management including demand planning, forecasting and procurement. Proven record of supplier commodity processes and practices. Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills to interact with diverse groups of people inside and outside of the corporation. Expert analytical skills and the ability to exercise judgment and critical thinking. Fluent in English and primary language used in area of responsibility
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or related field, MBA is highly preferred
Minimum of seven years of experience in a continuous supply chain within high volume manufacturing environment
American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS), or Six Sigma certification preferred
