Lead BI Analyst

In this position, you will be in charge of the Business Intelligence plan, and work in collaboration with the management team to make strategic business decisions. The lead business analyst will coordinate and ensure effective communication and collaboration efforts between the IT and Business teams to define analytics and reporting requirements. The Analyst will also create a Business Intelligence roadmap that enables the business sector to perform in accordance to business and company standards. The Lead Business Analyst will also contribute to the development of test plans that produce data driven results.

Job Description

Job Responsibilities include:

  • Develop BI strategy and roadmap that ensures business objectives are met
  • Work cross functionally with business owners to create and execute enterprise level solutions
  • Collaborate with management to develop strategic and operational direction and reports
  • Implement projects and assignments for the IT and Business Teams
  • Assess new report requests to determine appropriate action
  • Recommend changes to improve efficiency and service delivery
  • Translate business requirements into report specifications
  • Use business systems to drive functional improvements
  • Assist in the resolution of data integrity issues
  • Generate ad hoc reports
  • Serve as a subject matter expert



  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, or a related field; OR equivalent post high school education and/or work-related experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Purchasing
  • Ability to understand and read blue prints
  • Working knowledge of price and cost analysis
  • Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Products and Oracle system
  • Strong analytical skills including demonstrated aptitude with financial analysis and ability to generate insight from large and complex data sets - required
  • Strong project management skills
